A biblical, Christ-centered church committed to teaching God’s Word, loving people, and making disciples.
Splitlog Baptist Church is a community of believers devoted to the authority of Scripture and the hope of the gospel. We gather each week to worship, grow in discipleship, and encourage one another to live out our faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Above all, we desire to honor Jesus in everything we do—proclaiming His Word, serving others, and strengthening the next generation to walk faithfully with Him.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. It is the final standard of truth in all matters of faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
God
We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each fully and equally God, yet distinct in role and relationship.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 3:17)
The Father
We believe God the Father reigns with sovereign love and perfect wisdom over all creation. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. He draws people to Himself through His Son, cares for His children as a loving Father, disciplines them in love, and works all things according to His good purpose and glory.
(Psalm 103:19; Matthew 6:9; Romans 8:28; Ephesians 1:11)
The Son
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as our substitute, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will one day return in power and glory.
(John 1:1-3; John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11)
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, calls sinners to repentance, regenerates those who believe, and indwells every believer. He empowers the Church for godly living and faithful witness.
(John 16:8–13; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23)
Humanity
We believe all people are created in the image of God and that God intentionally created each person as male or female. Humanity is fallen and separated from God because of sin, and only through faith in Jesus Christ can anyone be reconciled to God and receive eternal life.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
Salvation
We believe salvation is completely a gift of God’s grace. Jesus Christ paid the full price for our sins through His death on the cross and rose again to give us new life. Anyone who repents and places their faith in Jesus Christ is forgiven, made right with God, and brought into His family forever. True salvation leads to a changed life, guided and kept by the Holy Spirit.
(John 3:16; Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8–9)
Judgment
We believe that those who die in their sins without faith in Christ spend eternity separated from God in conscious punishment. Hell is a real place of everlasting judgment prepared for the devil and his angels, and for all who reject the grace of God in Christ.
(Matthew 25:41–46; 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9; Revelation 20:11–15)
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers from every nation. Each local church is an autonomous congregation under the Lordship of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and mission. Believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and God dwells among His people both individually and corporately in the Church.
(Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 2:19–22; Matthew 28:18–20)
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism by immersion is a public testimony of one’s faith in Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience, remembering Christ’s sacrifice until He returns.
(Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–5; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
Marriage
We believe God designed marriage as the covenant union of one man and one woman for life.
(Genesis 2:18–24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:22–33)
Christ’s Return
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the world and establish His eternal Kingdom. The redeemed will dwell forever with Him in the new heaven and new earth.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–4)
Our Mission
To glorify God by making disciples of all nations, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, and living out His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8)
Our mission is to win the lost with the gospel, train believers through biblical teaching and discipleship, and send the trained into the world for the glory of God. We strive to be a people who love deeply, serve faithfully, and share Christ boldly.
Whether you're new to church or wanting to grow deeper in your faith, we’re here to walk with you.
